WHAT EXACTLY IS PERMANENT COSMETICS?
Permanent cosmetic makeup is cosmetic tattooing. It is a process where pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin, permanently. Although, techniques may vary, the results are always the same, permanent waterproof color, hassle-free, and always fresh! Through permanent cosmetics, you will maintain a more youthful and beautiful appearance forever! It is also referred to as Permanent Makeup, Cosmetic Tattooing, or Cosmetic Micro pigmentation.

WHAT ARE THE AVAILABLE COLORS?
All procedures have available, an unlimited selection of colors, to achieve the best possible cosmetic appearance. Colors will be chosen based on hair, skin tones, natural lip color and general preferences. Any color can be custom mixed just for you.

ARE PERMANENT COSMETICS REALLY PERMANENT?
They are considered permanent, because the color is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off, in a conventional manner, as with soap and water. However, as with any tattoo, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance. Colors will stay bright and vibrant longer with daily use of a good sunscreen, following healing.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?
Most people experience mild to little pain, depending on their tolerance. They are a number of anesthetics used that are very effective. Your complete comfort and safety is of great importance.

IS PERMANENT COSMETICS SAFE?
Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines, followed by Doctors and Hospitals, and in accordance with the CDC (Center for Disease Control) are followed. This includes, single use sterile needles and use of an Autoclave. Pigments used are very safe. The known cases of true allergic reactions to the pigment used, are extremely rare.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE RESULTS?
Although, the procedure is considered permanent, these procedures do have flexibility in changing color and shape to some extent, depending on the expertise of your technician. Colors will appear darker immediately following the procedure, but will soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and procedure.

WHY SHOULD I HAVE A PROCEDURE DONE?
The real beauty of permanent cosmetics is the confidence of looking your best 24 hours a day. No smudging, smearing, or reapplication worries. Candidates for procedures are those of us who have:

  • No time to do makeup, but want to always look their best.

  • No artistic ability

  • Poor vision to see clearly

  • An unsteady hand

  • Poor motor functions due to Parkinson’s disease, MS, or stroke

  • Uneven skin color, due to aging or hypo pigmentation

  • Scars due to injuries or medical procedures

  • Loss of hair due to thinning or scars

  • Lost the definition and contrast of their features

  • Allergies to topical make up

  • A desire to have distinctive features that will never go out of style or become unfashionable

Permanent Cosmetics has the ability to erase years from your face. Everyone will notice the difference, but be unsure as to what you did to change. That’s because Permanent Cosmetics always looks natural.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
The process consists of a consultation to determine what procedures are appropriate for you. Complete explanation of the procedure is given including normal reactions, the healing process and after care instructions. A medical history is taken to be sure you are a good candidate for the procedure planned. Work is never done without your full agreement and consent. You will be consulted every step of the way. All of your questions will be answered before, during and after the procedure. The actual procedure can either be performed immediately after this interview or may be scheduled for a later date. Following the procedure, follow-up visits are often conducted after the healing process to ensure satisfaction. You’ll feel comfortable knowing a well-trained professional is in charge.
