Permanent 'Beauty'
Option Available to Ease Eye Allergy Sufferers
(Las Vegas) – Red eyes, sore eyes,
dry eyes, puffy eyes - many of these symptoms are caused by allergies
that makeup wearers suffer through on a regular basis. The cause?
Often it could be as simple as an individual's eye makeup.
Research has shown that
eyelids are extra prone to absorbing makeup, sometimes creating
sensitivity to certain products that may lead to allergic reactions.
Certain cosmetics, such as eyeliner and mascara in sensitive individuals
can cause dermatitis, an allergic reaction creating puffy eyelids,
itching, irritation and other symptoms. In rare cases, bacterial
infection spread by eye makeup has caused temporary or permanent
blindness.
However, this does not
mean that people must abstain from makeup on their eyes. Mary
Arnold, founder of Professional Permanent Cosmetics (sm), offers an
alternative solution for allergy sufferers who have beauty needs.
Through a tattooing process called micropigmentation, in which pigments
are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin, even those with severe
eye allergies can receive permanent eyeliner, eyebrows, eyelash
enhancement, and eye shadow.
"Getting permanent
makeup is easier on your eyes," said Arnold. "If you have eye
allergies and infections, you're many times forced to throw away your
cosmetics on a regular basis. Permanent cosmetics can help
eliminate your problems."
The process, which is
relatively pain-free, is extremely popular in the spring and summer
months, when allergies are in full swing. Typically it is around
this time that Arnold receives new clients interested in these
beautifying procedures.
"Many of my clients have
told me they now no longer worry about their makeup smearing off during
the spring and summer months as their allergies affect them," Arnold
said. "It is such a pain-free, convenient way to handle the
situation, and they feel so much better about themselves physically and
emotionally."
