Mary Arnold Helps to Spearhead Bill to Strengthen Permanent Cosmetics Standards
(Southern Nevada) – Mary Arnold, RN, founder of Professional Permanent Cosmetics (sm), helped spearhead a bill in the State Assembly this April that would have upgraded the standards in the permanent cosmetics industry. AB360, which passed 42-0 in the Assembly, dictated that technicians would have to be held to statewide regulations, certifications and continued education. Arnold's desire is to make the industry in Nevada held to a higher standard. AB360 was stopped in the initial hearings in the Commerce and Labor Committee in the Senate before making it to the floor of the Senate. It will be another two years before this issue can be presented again.
